From Breakfast to All Inclusive in Menorca
When you are planning your trip to Menorca and looking for your hotel accommodation, you may find that there are different meal options available. These options, such as breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive, will determine which meals are included during your stay. We are going to explain each of these diets in our hotels and give you an overview of what you can expect in terms of meals and services.
Firstly to clarify the myriad of acronyms that can be found and can be confusing.
Bed & Breakfast
(breakfast & dinner)
The breakfast regime is the most basic of all as it includes breakfast only. In our Minura hotels, it is served as a buffet and consists of a selection of breads, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, eggs (in different preparations), bacon, sausages, cold meats and local and national cheeses, coffee, tea and juices. In addition, a showcooking service is also offered, in which different dishes are prepared on the spot, such as pancakes, omelettes and others.
This regime is ideal if you plan to explore the island during the day and eat outside the hotel.
Half board includes breakfast and dinner services. This is convenient if you plan to spend most of the day outside the hotel and return for a relaxed dinner. Dinner includes a variety of main courses, different types of meat and fish in different preparations, side dishes and desserts. The showcooking section allows a greater variety of proposals such as grilled dishes, pizzas or pasta, freshly made rice and ‘fideuas’…
Drinks are not included, except in our hotel Minura Sur Menorca, where ‘non-bottled’ drinks are included.
Full board is similar to half board, but includes all meals of the day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is perfect if you plan to spend most of the day at the hotel or if you don’t want to worry about finding places to eat out. As with half board, at Minura Sur Menorca, drinks from the pump are included.
The all-inclusive regime is the most complete and comfortable of all. In addition to the three main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), it also includes a wide range of drinks and snacks during practically the whole day (from 10.30 to 23.00). This includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, soft drinks and light snacks. By opting for all-inclusive, you won’t have to worry about additional food and beverage expenses, as everything is covered in the price of the regime.
Not all of our hotels offer the possibility to enjoy all-inclusive meals and beverages.
The hotel Minura Cala Galdana offers breakfast and dinner service, that is to say, Breakfast and Half Board.
Our hotel Minura Sur Menorca offers all the services and in addition, the Half Board and Full Board regimes also include drinks (not bottled) during the service.
So, as always, you design your holidays to suit you and we do everything possible so that all you have to worry about is enjoying the wonderful island of Menorca.
